Tavistock girls U18s 20

North Dorset/Plymouth Albion girls U18s 5

TAVISTOCK started slowly with communication amongst the players being non-existent. Despite this the majority of play was held in the Dorset half; with much of the ball being mauled back and forth the pitch, it did'nt take long before Nielson found some space out wide to gallop home under the sticks.

This raised Tavistock's tempo and communication vastly improved, with good organisation in defence being led by Neave and Walke. This added pressure saw countless turnovers which led to a further two scores in quick succession after good strong runs by Scorer and Abel and at half time Tavistock led 15-5.

The second half saw a closer affair, but with out doubt it saw some of the best rugby played by the young Tavistock team.

A series of try line defence saw turnover ball retained through 22 phases up the pitch, with all 15 players involved. Unfortunately the ball was knocked on over the line, but the ability to string together good rugby is a huge boost for Tavistock whole have only recorded one loss all season! Nielson crossed for her brace just before the final whistle.
