TAVISTOCK College?s talented girls? U13 soccer team are celebrating success after another superb win saw them named county champions in the Coca Cola/ESFA National Schools Cup competition.

Their 6-0 victory over Great Torrington has secured them a place in the South West Regional stages of the competition.

Teacher and coach Hayley Bray said: ?They were absolutely brilliant. They were so chuffed afterwards, they were really on a high.?

Goalscorers were Heidi Davies (2), Clarice Payne (2), Rebecca Macmullin (2). Player of the match was Joy Page.

The Tavistock girls have now been promoted to the knockout stages of the competition, in which they will fight to win through to the final being held at the premiership ground of Southampton Football Club.

The Coca Cola/ESFA National Schools Cup is the largest U13s schools? football tournament in the country, with 37,500 children from 2,200 school teams.

The final is due to be played at Chelsea FC?s Stamford Bridge ground in May.

Tavistock College?s U13 side are Tamsin Bryant, Amy Campbell, Heidi Davies, Robynne Honey, Tess Osbourne, Paige McGechie, Rebecca Macmullin, Joy Page, Issie De Carles, Jade Butcher, Clarice Paine.
