A FANTASTIC range of crafts and gifts will be on display at a special Christmas Fair being held at the Moorland Links Hotel near Yelverton next week.

The event is being held to raise money for PLIMS, the Plymouth Immediate Medical Support group, which provides a team of volunteer, unpaid emergency doctors in West Devon, Plymouth and the South Hams who provide an extra layer of medical care in an emergency.

Maureen Fox, fundraising co-ordinator for PLIMS, said: ?A trained doctor in a high response vehicle can be at the scene of a serious accident within minutes, providing the emergency services with the extra support that may literally make the difference between life and death.?

The annual fair is a big fundraiser for this valuable service ? Maureen said there would be a huge range of stallholders selling all types of gifts for Christmas, from tie-dye clothing, sculptures, silver jewellery and original watercolours to pottery and ethnic decorations.

The PLIMS Christmas Fair takes place on Tuesday December 2 between 10am and noon ? all are welcome. Entrance costs £2, to include coffee and refreshments.
