ARE you interested in getting things going in your community? Maybe you have an idea about a facility that could be used in your area? If so, there?s an event tailor-made for you, which is being held in West Devon next month. Moving Parish Projects Forward is packed full of ideas and information for those interested in the future of their communities. The day-long event, on Thursday March 3, is being held at Lydford Village Hall and has been developed by West Devon Borough Council, the Community Council of Devon, West Devon Community Planning Forum and West DEN. Perhaps you?re in the process of developing a parish plan or other project and want to refresh yourselves with some help and advice or maybe you?re thinking about applying for funding to develop a town or parish plan, community transport idea, a community facility or something similar. Whatever it could be, the Parish Projects day could be just the event you need. It offers workshops on how to reach everyone, moving projects forward, prioritising issues and action planning as well as advice on where to go for help and funding advice. The cost is £30 per personplus one free place per booking and the day will include lunch.
