YOUNG skateboarders and BMX enthusiasts will be giving it their best at the Street Sports competition at skate parks in Okehampton and Tavistock this week.
They will be taking part in the open novice competition, which is part of the Devon 2009 Games to Inspire.
Organisers are looking to select four boys or girls in school year 7 and 8 and four from years 9 and 10 in the skateboard and BMX categories.
The competition takes place today (June 11) at Okehampton Skate Park between 4.30pm-5.30pm and at Tavistock Skate Park tomorrow (Friday) from 4.30pm-5.30pm.
The winners will have a chance to ride at the brand new skate park in Barnstaple at this year's Devon Games to Inspire event on July 5.
