A WIDE range of exhibitions, demonstrations and displays will be on show at the South West Forest Woodfair, which takes place at Roadford Lake near Broadwoodwidger next month.

The event, organised by South West Forest, is designed to promote and display the many and varied aspects of the woodland economy in the South West.

A spokesman for South West Forest said: ?It presents information on a wide range of woodland-based products and services to existing and potential customers.

?In addition to an exhibition of rural skills and the environmental and nature conservation benefits of woodlands, there will be a number of demonstrations and competitions.

'Whilst woodland issues are at its heart, the demonstration of the wide range of linkages to other rural activity is a key part of the woodfair.?

At last year?s event, more than 3,000 visitors came to view the 90 exhibitors.

This year, there will be even more to see as 108 exhibitors have already booked space at the fair.

The South West Forest Woodfair takes place on Saturday July 12. Admission is £3.50 (under 16s free) ? car parking is also free of charge.
