I AM relieved to read in last week?s Times that at last the councils are going to try and get the ridiculous gateway removed.
It seems incredible that in spite of Ian Kilpatrick and myself receiving over 120 phone calls and letters objecting to the gateway two years ago, and in addition the councils of Plasterdown, Horrabridge and some councillors of Tavistock Town Council objecting, the county council decided to ignore the democratic wish of the people.
