THE popular community event Crafty Capers will be in a marquee on South Zeal Recreation Ground, offering a week of creative workshops from Monday, August 16 through to Friday, August 20.

There will also be an exhibition of work by the younger children and a catwalk fashion show by the older participants on Saturday, August 21 at 2.30pm.

The fashion show will have a number of Crafty Capers infamously creative and curious categories, ranging from garments made from waste to something edible.

The event is open to all ages. The workshops run from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm.

Each session costs £2. For more details phone 01837 840334 or email [email protected]">[email protected] Booking is advised to ensure a place.

Children under ten need to be accompanied by an adult and older children may attend alone if a parent or guardian completes a registration card at or before the first session.

To enter any of the categories participants will either need to model their garment themselves or find someone else to do it for them.

The cut off date for entering one or more outfits is Wednesday, August 18. There will be prizes including an additional prize for best in show.
