A NEW exercise class for over 60s and the disabled community will begin on Monday, October 25.
The Extend Gentle Exercise scheme will be held in the Parish Church Hall, Tavistock, and is designed to help joints stay more supple and mobile, as well as easing aches and pains.
It will also help to rebuild core muscles for those who have not exercised for a while, helping stability and stamina.
As well as getting vital exercise, it is a chance to meet new people.
The class is being supported by West Devon Borough Council, which has offered the scheme a grant of £150.00 to help get it started.
Therefore, the first two sessions will be free, followed by a weekly charge of £3.50, which may be reduced to a lower cost if successful.
Anyone interested can call Birgilta White on 01752 408951 for more information.
