THE recent house-to-house and street collection for Save the Children this year raised just over £1,300. Thank you, Tavistock and villages, for your generosity.
It could not have happened without all our great team of helpers who stand on street corners, not rattling their tins, and those who knock on doors asking for money.
Thanks are also due to the kind gardeners of Lake Lane, Dousland, who opened their wonderful gardens to the public last Saturday week.
Those who braved the cold wind and enjoyed the coffee and home made biscuits helped us raise another £600 +.
