IT'S time to get out and about in the sunshine this weekend and take advantage of an open garden event in West Devon.
Following the first popular event two years ago, Sheepstor residents will be opening their gardens to the public to raise money for the village hall. Eleven gardens and the village church will be taking part in the event over Saturday and Sunday (June 5 and 6).
A ploughman's lunch and cream teas will be available in the village hall and a treasure hunt will be on offer to entertain the children.
The gardens will be open from 11am to 4pm on both days and a map of the gardens is available from Sheepstor Village Hall. Dogs are welcome on leads, but some gardens may request dogs to be left outside. Entry is £3 for adults and children are free.
