A CALLINGTON businesswoman, who raised more than £3,000 on a cycle ride through China for the Women for Women charity, has donated a further £335 to fund research and promote education and awareness in women's health.
Gail Buttery recently returned from her third cycle challenge which involved cycling 450kms over five days in very hot temperatures.
She held a ladies' pamper evening at her restaurant Langman's in Callington last Tuesday which was attended by 35 people. Various local salons offered treatments from manicures to massages, and Langman's provided canapes.
Women for Women, whose chairman is Professor Robert Winston, supports the Genesis Research Foundation which is a charitable, non profit organisation whose mission is to fund research and promote education and awareness in women's health in the area of obstetrics and gynaecology.
