THREE local mothers have raised around £650 by trekking 30 miles between three castles.

Mel Ford from Bridestowe, Jill Jolley from Okehampton and Sarah Haigh from Boasley Cross trekked 30 miles from Launceston Castle to Lydford Castle and Okehampton Castle on October 5. The ladies are taking on a challenge to raise funds for a mini-bus for Bridestowe's Treetops Pre-School.

With the trio still collecting donations, they are hopeful they can raise around £1,000 in total. Local businesses are invited to offer sponsorship in return for advertising on the minibus.
