LAMERTON will once again play host to a convoy of fundraising motorcyclists this week as members of Plymouth Motorcycle Club stage their second Dartmoor rideout in aid of the BBC Radio Devon Chestnut appeal.

The charitable cyclists are heading for the hills in a repeat of last year?s ?Chestnut Charity Rideout? which saw 172 bikers raise £550 towards the provision of a state-of-the-art prostate cancer unit at Derriford Hospital.

The riders will leave Lee Mill Industrial Estate at 2pm on Saturday, June 26 and make their way across Dartmoor, passing through Tavistock and reaching Lamerton between 3.30 and 4pm.

Once at Lamerton there will be a barbecue and social evening, with various activities and a licensed bar in the village hall to which everyone is welcome.

The club are also hoping to have a number of stalls set up in Lamerton to give people a chance to browse and hopefully pick up a bargain ? anyone who would be interested in setting up a stand should contact Pete Statton on 07771 507876 or 01822 615775.
