NEXT week is National Transplant Week and to promote the importance of organ donations, a fun cycle ride has been organised.

Wendy Sincock, of Spreyton, a transplantee and main promoter for organ donation in the area, has organised the cycle ride on July 13, leaving Exeter Quay at 2pm.

The gentle 14-mile ride will be to the Turf Locks Hotel and back — entrants can come in fancy dress to make the day even more fun, and T-shirts, pens etc will be given away.

The Exeter and District Heart and Kidney Transplant Team will also be on hand with information. They will be competing in various sports at the British Transplant Games in Loughborough at the end of August.
