THE Margaret Green animal rescue centre is hosting a companion dog show and family fun day this weekend.

The event will include pedigree and novelty classes, a barbecue lunch and ice cream stalls. There will be a bouncy castle and face painting for the children.

The fun day, at the rescue centre in Wingletang on July 18, will start at 11am and finish at 4.30pm. Entry will be £1.50 for adults and 50p for children up to 12.
