CHILDMINDERS from West Devon and children in their care are being invited to a day of activities at Stover Country Park near Newton Abbot on June 20, to mark an important milestone. Devon Child Minding Association (DCMA) is celebrating 21 years of working with childminders this year and registered childminders across Devon are being invited to go ?Wild about Devon? at a series of fun days being planned. During National Childminding Week, there will be nine events focusing on Devon culture and aiming to emphasise the development of children under the Government?s ?Every Child Matters? agenda. Activities at Stover Country Park on the morning of June 20 will include clay modelling and other crafts, nature walks and storytelling with music and singing.
