UNUSUALLY, a request in our excellent local newspaper for more letters and quite rightly so! The letters page is always a highlight in my weekly read, with all their diverse topics and points of view, so very interesting. We were actually asked if we had a 'bee in our bonnet?' This set me thinking of other strange sayings that we often use and take for granted — 'ants in your pants', 'every dog has its day', 'put the cat among the pigeons', 'a snake in the grass' and 'a wolf in sheep's clothing' — there are so many. This letter is merely one of observation — let's continue to have many each week to enhance our enjoyment of our Tavistock Times. Tony Smith Lydford
