THE Friends of Tavistock Library would like to thank those who supported their Christmas event, which raised nearly £100. The friends give financial support to non-locally funded events run by the library, mainly for children. New members are always welcome. Anyone interested is invited to attend the next meeting to be held in the library at 2.30pm on January 27. People were very generous and in this time of crisis even more so than usual. We raised the sum of £533.92. Thank you to all those involved. The money is already on its way and will be used to help the children in South East Asia.
