TWO goals apiece for Robbie Miller and Steve Scott, with a single from Andrew Davis, saw Chagford comfortably home in their first friendly this season.
Most significant was the way Chagford played their passing game, Jon de Cruz and Wes Gavillet controlling the centre of midfield.
However, North Tawton were better than the score-line suggests but their visitors took more of their chances on the day.

CHAGFORD Reserves emulated their first-team colleagues but were made to work hard by a severely depleted home side.
Joey Whatley bagged a couple, Chris Woof, Jon Philpott and debutee Kiril Jaskov netting one each. Chagford's youngest player, Jake Rowe, was also having his first run out and was impressive on the right of midfield.
The hot weather meant legs were tiring as time passed but a very young home team battled to the very end and could have netted a goal or two themselves.
CHAGFORD FC are now training at their War Memorial Ground. All players, old and new, are welcome to attend.
The club are hoping to recruit a goalkeeper, initially for their Reserve side, with ambitions to progress to the Firsts. Age and experience are not a barrier as one-to-one coaching is available. Chagford would also welcome outfield players and assistants to work with the teams.
