TWO fire crews from Tavistock were called to a accident involving a transit van near Brentor last Thursday evening.

On arrival, the crews found a man trapped underneath the van. Firefighters worked with ambulance personnel to release him, using Tirfor winches and safety lines.

The casualty was taken to hospital by land ambulance. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, which occurred at around 6pm.
