A PERSON was left trapped in a vehicle after a collision in Tavistock on Sunday.

Two fire engines responded to reports from police of the collision on Crowndale Road.

On arrival, crews found one private car involved in a road traffic collision with all persons free and clear of the vehicle.

Western power were asked to attend to isolate an overhead high voltage power line which was involved in the collision causing local properties to be without power.

One male casualty was treated by ambulance service personnel.
