THE Tavistock netball league is being launched on Sunday, September 21.
A partnership of local sports organisations has been working behind the scenes for several weeks to start the new league.
West Devon Borough Council, TACRA and the Active Devon Sports Partnership working alongside many enthusiastic individuals are now hoping that the league will attract new teams.
To attract more interest in the sport, the partnership is arranging five weeks of free ?have a go? netball sessions open to anyone aged 14 years and over.
The first free session will be on Sunday, September 21 from 10am
to noon.
The free sessions, led by a qualified coach, will offer an excellent opportunity to join or create a team, get fit, lose weight, make new friends and have fun on and off the court.
Anyone is welcome, and no experience is necessary. All equipment will be provided so all you will need is a pair of training shoes and comfortable clothing.
