MARCH sees the start of the series of age group Plymouth Schools Netball tournaments. The first was that for sixth formers, the U18 tournament, played in Plympton.

Kelly College 1st VII followed up on the recent series of good results with four winning performances: v Ivybridge College won 14-0; v Plymouth College won 17-3; v Plymstock School won 24-0; v Hele?s School won 9-4; an overall score of 64 goals for and 7 against.

Kelly were not seriously challenged in their earlier games and it was disappointing that they lost their shape somewhat in their final game. The lack of edge may have been attributable to the fact that the two sides represented the majority of the county squad, who are all playing together most weekends.
