Chagford v Galmpton
CHAGFORD lost their second league match in three weeks, the result of a poor batting display.
Wickets fell at regular intervals and it was only a hard hit 26 by Tony Niven and a cameo innings of 23 that enabled Chagford to reach 110 all out in 45 overs.
Mark Faulkner with 4-23 was the most successful of the visiting bowlers.
Galmpton lost Hirst (5) and MacDermott (4) quickly, but Faulkner, scoring 34 not out to cap a fine all round performance, steered the visitors to a 7 wicket and easy victory.
Only Tony Hutchings of the Chagford attack emerged with credit with 2 for 18 in his ten overs of pace.

Chagford and Palmers (Sussex)
THIS was a match of two fine partnerships . First in the Palmers innings Stean and Saybrun added 150 before Wreford dismissed them in the same over for 78 and 67 respectively, and Palmers reached 195 for 6 declared. Wreford finished with 2-36 and Moss 4-62.
Chagford's reply was dominated by Dave Steele (47) and Del Owen 76 in a 110-run partnership, making it the fourth century stand in two days at the Chagford ground.
However, with their dismissal and Sawrey-Cookson for (23) wickets fell as Chagford tried to continue the tempo and Chagford reached 165 for 6 in this drawn game.
Buckley was the most successful Palmer's bowler with 2-25.

Chagford v Paignton
AFTER losing early wickets middle order batsman Smith held the side together.
Starting slowly against the Chagford attack, he later played some fine attacking shots before being dismissed by Colridge for 52.
Paignton declared at 162 for 9.
Mike Wreford 4 for 31 in 14 overs and Don Cudmore with 2 for 27 were the pick of the Chagford attack.
An opening stand of 43 put Chagford off to a good start with David Steele (35) and Del Owen (25) playing good attacking cricket.
However, Jon d'Arch-Smith with an attacking 52 set Chagford on the road to victory. But with his dismissal and the run out of Mathewson, the rest of the batting collapsed with 6 wickets falling for 11 runs.
Woodcock with 5 for 25 was wall supported by Powell 2-21, in an impressive Paignton attack.

Chagford v Brighton Brunswick THE strong Brighton Touring side batting first lost South African De Bruin quickly and with Nick Rowe picking up the first 3 wickets, Brighton were 50 for 3.
However Stace, with 75 and Williams 59 not out in a century stand saw the visitors make rapid progress.
They were 222-7 at tea, only Rowe with 3 for 57 in his nine overs emerging with credit in the Chagford attack.
The Chagford reply was equally entertaining, Steele and Moyle playing with confidence before Steele was stumped.
Kevin Moyle continued in fine vein with stands with Southcott (14) and Peter Rose.
Moyle was finally bowled for 98 in a fine innings and Rose (46 no) and Donald Cudmore (29 no) picked up the tempo to finish on 216 for 3, just 6 runs short of the visitors' total.
In an exciting game which kept the spectators entertained until the end, Gill was the only wicket taker with 3-90.
