Liskeard U13s 0 Tavistock U13s 32 THE Tavistock forwards dominated this match throughout with strong and well-formed rucks and mauls. The loose men on the flanks James Lockley and Callum Thompson with number eight Mark Friend stopped every attempt by Liskeard to break through. While the front row of Joe Hair, Sam Straughan and George Harold secured the loose ball the second row combo of Josh Leeson and Dan Oner saw off all opposition in the lineouts. It was a 10-metre lineout stolen by Josh Leeson that saw James Lockley crash over for the first try. One of many handling mistakes by Liskeard handed fly half Jack Morgan a simple touch down of his first of the morning. His second came later in the half from a textbook kick and chase into the corner. Winger Sam Lynsey executed some fine tackles to help keep the backs in the game and the odd pairing of hooker Sam Straughan supported by full back Josh Stephens only just stopped short of scoring before the turn round. Josh Stephens started the second half the way he finished the first with some strong running from deep. A charging Callum Thompson gathered up another well-weighted kick over from Morgan for the fourth try. It was an exceptional solo run by Thompson from a penalty on halfway that came next finished by a dropped goal conversion from centre Rufus Gould. The match was summed up by the last try, a forwards push over planted by the ever present loose head prop George Harold.
