CHANGES to housing benefit will be one of the issues discussed at West Devon's annual private landlords' forum this month.
The event takes place at 6pm on Thursday, July 12 at the borough council's offices in Tavistock.
As part of the Government's welfare reforms, some tenants are likely to be affected by a cap on the amount of benefit they can be paid. The meeting will offer information and advice to landlords and letting agents about the possible impact in West Devon.
Landlords attending the event will also hear about the council's work to reduce the number of empty homes in the area. There will be information about a low-cost loan scheme, which could help bring run-down properties back into use.
The forum takes place between 6pm and 9pm. Landlords are welcome to turn up at any time during the event.
