Whitchurch 2nd XI v Woodland Fort 2nd XI
THIS Devon League second eleven contest was anything but. Fort turned up with just nine men, few of whom looked like cricketers.
Fort batted and quickly lost their first wicket. Duff (18) and Brooks played some varied shots adding 23 for the second wicket.
However, Horler and Alford in tandem ripped through the batting line-up as Fort crumbled to 29 all out. Alford with three for four and Horler with four for five.
Hall with 23no ensured his side knocked the runs off with ease inside eight overs and took the maximum 20 points from the match.
This weekend is a double header. On Saturday they entertain Dartington and on Sunday Ivybridge are the visitors, both of whom should present more of a challenge.
