OKEHAMPTON Town Council agreed last week to support youth football in the town with a grant to Okehampton Argyle.

Councillors approved the request for a grant of £540 to Okehampton Argyle Youth Football Club to purchase a new kit for the under-16 side.

Councillors supported the request, noting that organised football was a way of enhancing the health and well-being of young people in Okehampton.
