VOLUNTEERS are needed to help out with collection days for the Callington Foodbank tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday at Tesco.

Regular volunteers are also being sought for the drop-in centre which opens on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 4pm.

Some 1,649 people have received donations from the foodbank, including 693 children. More than 11 tonnes of food has been given out.

Callington foodbank also has a satellite centre at the Tamar Valley Methodist Church Centre at Albaston and this opens every Thursday from 10.30am to 11.30am.
