THE February lecture of the Dartmoor Decorative and Fine Arts Society will look into the imagination of Queen Victoria's favourite poet.

Elizabeth Merry will be talking about 'The monsters, vampire and gothic imagination of Lord Byron', looking at his colourful life as well as his work.

The lecture will be held in the Charter Hall on Wednesday, February 13. Doors open for tea and coffee at 10am, with the talk starting promptly at 10.30am.

Everyone is welcome. A year's membership of the society costs £45 per person or £85 per couple, for nine lectures on a variety of arts related and historical subjects and a free quarterly arts magazine. 

For non-members a voluntary donation of £10 per talk is requested, payable at the door. This will be refunded if you join the society.
