PEOPLE are being encouraged to attend a board meeting next week to find our more about healthcare in the area.

The eastern locality of the Northern, Eastern and Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group will hold its board meeting in Honiton on May 22.

Dr David Jenner, chairman of the eastern locality, said he hoped people would come along to find out about healthcare in the area and how they can get involved.

The locality covers Exeter, mid Devon, east Devon, and east towards Okehampton and Moretonhampstead.

Dr Jenner said: 'We would encourage people to book a place to come along to our governing body to find out all about healthcare in our area.'

The meeting is at East Devon Business Centre in Honiton on May 22 from 3pm to 5pm.

Although it will be held in public, it is not a public meeting. Members of the public are invited to listen to the board's discussions, observe the decision-making process and have the opportunity to ask questions.
