ROADFORD Lake will be showcasing an event to please all fly fishermen and women next month, when it hosts its annual trout fishing event, the South West Fly Fair, organised by South West Lakes Trust.

The event, on Saturday, February 28, includes the opportunity to watch and learn from some of the greatest fly-tiers in the region, brush up on casting skills, see and try the latest tackle, watch specialist demonstrations and listen to a series of guest speakers.

Entry to the event is £3 for adults and under 18s go free. Free parking will also be available. The fair will run from 10am to 4pm and will include trade stands, fly tying demonstrations and clinic and kayaking opportunities.

Fishing experts at the event will include; Charles Jardine, Mike Weaver, Russ Symons, Gary Champion and more. South West Lakes Trust season permits will also be on sale on the day at a discounted price.
