Tavistock RFC 2nd XV Kingsbridge 2nd XV SPECTATORS were treated to an open, flowing game of rugby. Kingsbridge presented as a well drilled and disciplined side with big yet mobile forwards and a very able scrum half. Tavistock followed their good opening last week against Devonport Services 2nds with another encouraging performance. The half-time score of 5-0 was the result of an unconverted try by Simon Braithwaite. The second half saw three further tries from Matt Cole, Ben Neale and Peter Welsh, with two conversions by Martin Credicott. Tavistock scrum half Dan Smith had an impressive game as did Steve Long, playing at second row, in only his second game of rugby! It was a heartening display of good strong running and tackling by a combination of Tavistock?s old heads and young legs. Supporters are looking forward to Saturday?s fixture against Bideford 2nds at Sandy Park, ko at 3pm.
