Exmouth U15s girls 5

Tavistock U15s 22

THIS was a useful win against an accomplished Exmouth side, which was stopped in its tracks by decisive tackling of the Tavistock girls. Four tries to one showed the measure of improvement in this young side.

Tavistock were quickly out of the blocks after a well-worked move right from the kick-off, which resulted in a converted try by Flo Rodgers. Exmouth came back strongly straight from the restart, broke through the Tavistock line to score close in. The kick was missed.

Just before half time after some slick handling, Lilly Hilson broke out on the far right to score in the corner.

Tavistock kept tackling and running hard, resulting in two further tries in the second half by Bronwin Rundle and Annabel Longden.

The incisive running of Beth Hodgkiss is becoming a feature of her forward play earning her the player of the match. Flo Rodgers was again an inspirational captain.
