FLIPPING fun will descend on Red Lion Yard next week as Okehampton Primary School children take part in the town?s Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race. This will be the third year the town council has run the race since it almost had to be cancelled in 2004 due to spiralling insurance costs. However, thanks to some changes in the organisation of the event, including limiting the number of competitors and spectators, the race is now granted public liability insurance at a reduced cost. The races will get underway in Red Lion Yard from 2pm next Tuesday (February 28).
