TAVISTOCK men's first hockey team failed to produce anything like the form they had shown in previous weeks against a good Plympton side, and deservedly lost.
The early signs were promising after a penalty stroke was awarded and
converted to put Tavistock one up. But there was little fluidity to the Tavistock play and Plympton started to dominate.
This resulted in two goals before half-time to leave Tavistock 2-1 down at the break.
The start of the second half saw Tavistock play with more determination, but the equalising goal would not come. Plympton scored a couple of late goals to leave a scoreline that flattered them a little.
