TWO Tavistock residents will be signing copies of their latest book which has taken almost five years of intense research to complete.

Simon Dell, a special constable in Tavistock, and John Bright, who is head of science at Lipson Community College, will be at the town's Bookstop from 11am this Saturday, signing copies of 'Dartmoor's Sett Maker's Bankers — an industrial mystery solved?'.

This is a publication of five years' research into the sett makers 'bankers', workings which occur around Staple Tor and other parts of Dartmoor near quarries, where the cobbles for the streets of Tavistock and Plymouth were made.
