A GROUP of Tavistock men will soon be setting off on their annual 200-mile charity bike ride to raise money for people with muscle disease.

Every year Steve Vanstone organises the ride in memory of his mother, Theresa, to raise money for the Myasthenia Gravis Association (MGA).

This year Steve will be joined by Stuart Corbett, Mike Lyddon, Steve Langsford and Dan Pearce, who will be cycling from Tavistock to Teignmouth and back again.

They will set off from Tavistock on Saturday August 28 at 8am, and finish day one in Ilfracombe. Day two will see them cycle from Ilfracombe to Dawlish and finish in Teignmouth. On the last day they will cycle from Teignmouth back to Tavistock, hoping to arrive in the town at around 4pm on Monday August 30.

Myasthenia Gravis is a severe muscle weakening disease, and the MGA offers support to sufferers and their families.

Anyone who would like to join the ride at any point is welcome, and if you would like to sponsor the event visit http://www.justgiving.com/Steve-Vanstone">www.justgiving.com/Steve-Vanstone, or send a cheque payable to MGA to Steve Vanstone, 5 Sunnyside, Harrowbarrow, Callington, PL17 8BA.
