POLICE in Callington are appealing for information following the theft of more than £600 worth of fishing equipment. The gear was stolen from a shed in the Gunnislake area and comprised: a 9ft 6ins Daiwa spinning fishing rod, worth £75; two 9ft spinning fishing rods, totalling £170; an Ambassador multi-plier 7500c fishing reel worth £200; a Shimel six-spool reel worth £100 and a Mitchell six-spool reel with bait runner worth £100. Anyone with any information or who is offered such goods for sale is asked to contact Callington police, quoting crime reference BN/06/506.
