GREEN-FINGERED residents of Tavistock will be delighted with the news that the popular BBC radio programme Gardeners? Question Time is coming to the Wharf on July 1.
Wharf managing director Margaret Hurdwell said everyone at the Wharf was ?really excited? about the show.
?We?ve had The Archers, but it?s the first time we?ve had Gardeners? Question Time,? she said.
?You have to get into doing these things. After the Archers, people came back and said it was brilliant.
?It does put us on the map ? it?s good. We?d like to get the other Question Time too!? she said.
The show?s production secretary, Helen Johnson, said the panel would consist of Pippa Greenwood, Bunny Guinness and Anne Swithinbank, with chairman Eric Robson.
The tickets for the show have a tear-off section for audience members to write their questions.
These will be collected as people arrive at 6pm for the recording, which should start at 6.45pm.
?The questions will be chosen between 6pm and the time the recording starts. The panel has no idea beforehand what they will be, ?Helen explained.
There are only limited tickets available for fans of the radio show, so Margaret advised anyone who wanted to be part of the audience to act quickly.
The free tickets will be available from May 19, but applicants will have to go to the Wharf in person to sign for them.
