Tavistock Ladies 1st XI 4 Liskeard 1 WITH early interceptions of the ball and good passes the ball was soon in Tavistock?s possession and Boulle hit a great ball into the ?D? which Armstrong put solidly past the keeper. This first goal lifted the team?s spirits and it was not long before Honey had the ball and dribbled parallel to the base line to sneak the ball past the defence of the opposition. On one of Liskeard?s free hits there was a free player in the ?D? who scored. In the second half Tavistock took strong possession of the ball. Numerous short corners were awarded against Tavistock but the defence were out quick and Stapleton and Viggers made good clearances infront of the goal line. Excellent linking between the four forwards resulted in Miller scoring the fourth goal of the match, 3-1. Gaspar and Armstrong linked and Armstrong took the ball around all the defenders and gave a lovely ball across the top of the ?D?. Miller was in the right place and chipped the ball into the goal.
