A TAVISTOCK salon is busy collecting toys to send to children spending Christmas in hospital.

From now to December, First Glance Beauty and Hair Studio, is accepting donations of unused and unopened toys for children from babies to 15-years-old to give to Derriford Hospital children’s wards.

The gifts will then be given out to all the children that will be spending the festive period in hospital.

First Glance proprietor Lisa Kerslake said: ‘We always like to support charities and with us all either having children or nieces or nephews that have used the children’s wards it’s close to our hearts, plus we have several clients that also work at Derriford and we wanted to show our support.’

A Christmas box for donations is located in the salon’s reception and all gifts will be gratefully received.
