A WEST Devon day centre is enjoying beautifully refurbished flooring thanks to the kindness of two men, who volunteered their time to help the centre.

The Molly Owen Centre in Tavistock — a facility used by adults with learning disabilities — had a generous surprise when Steve and Sean of M and M Woodflooring, Bray Shop, approached the centre to volunteer their time and skills to repair, clean, sand and seal around 3,000 sq ft of parquet flooring.

Helen McFarlane, senior support worker at the centre, said: 'They were such a lovely pair of men, it's amazing what they have done for the centre. They gave up nearly a week of their time for free.'

Steve and Sean (pictured left) worked hard for more than four days and left the building with a high quality, professional finish. They would like to encourage other local contractors to get involved in giving something back to the community.
