FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a fire in a pottery shed in Callington last Thursday evening.

Two crews from Callington and a crew from Saltash attended the fire at around 8.10pm, which had spread to a nearby summer house.

The shed, which was used for pottery making and was 3 metres by 3 metres, and the summerhouse, which was the same size, were both well alight.

Two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fires.
