l Firefighters were called to a chimney fire at a property in Bratton Clovelly on Friday.

A crew from Okehampton attended and initially experienced difficulty in locating the fire and increased attendance by a further fire crew from Okehampton, with a thermal image camera to assist.

Once located crews established the difficulty was as a result of a blockage in the chimney breast at roof space level and set to work gaining access through a soot box. It was then extinguished using chimney gear, a ladder, one hose reel jet and a thermal image camera.
