TAVISTOCK Golf Club had a fine entry of 160 for the Captains? Drive-In Four Ball Better Ball Stableford, which produced a very close finish.
Results were as follows: David Thomas and David Spray 41 points: Mike Wakley and Graham Dennis 41: Tony Cooper and Mike Apps 41: Glyn Cunnick and Tony Finnegan 40. It was a particularly good day for Wakley who had a hole in one at the seventh.

N Doidge and M Congdon, and G Chaplin and C Morse were Tavistock?s only winners in a 4-2 defeat by Yelverton.
