A NEW website to help people find their nearest carol service, Christingle or Nativity service has been launched.

Thousands of people flock to special Christmas services and events in churches at this time year, but many more say they would like to go if it was easier to find service times.

So to help its 616 churches advertise its services, the Diocese of Exeter has created a new website, http://www.findacarolservice.com">www.findacarolservice.com, that allows users to type in a postcode, and find a list of all the churches near them holding special Christmas services, complete with dates and times.

The Bishop of Exeter, the Rt Rev Michael Langrish, said: 'For so many people, carol services are a very important part of their Christmas celebrations.

'We hope this new website will help everyone to find their nearest service, quickly and easily, this year.'
