Okehampton Seconds 3 Truro C 6 TRURO travelled to Okehampton looking for an easy hockey match against the bottom of the league side. The visitors were not expecting such a good passing team and when Mark Parsons slotted home Stuart Jarvis's pass it really shook their confidence. Okehampton had chances through Jacob Lloyd and Nick Luxton, before Truro equalised and then went ahead. Parsons then hit the post for Okehampton and Jarvis forced a good save before the home side conceded two breakaway goals to make it 4-1 to Truro at half-time. Coming back after the break Okehampton rallied and reduced the deficit when Luke Miller smashed home from the top of the area. Truro were rattled and had a man set off for 10 minutes for a foul on Okehampton's Joff Stevens. Okehampton took advantage and scored a third, when James Rogers made a lovely pass to Jarvis who went on to score. Pushing for the equaliser Truro hit Okehampton on the break again for their fifth. Truro then scored a flick to make it six and secure the game. Thanks go to umpires Richard Jones and John Stephens. l Next week Okehampton Seconds are away to Ashmoor.
