DESIGNED to re-introduce Year 9 to the fun of reading and to brush up on their study skills ready for next year, all Year 9 students at Tavistock College recently visited the library during their English classes to take part in a reading rally.

Each class was split into small 'Rally Teams' and issued with a car and a number and they all had to give their team a name. They had to then check into pit stops around the library and compete as a team in a series of challenges with a book theme.

With only five minutes per pit stop there was no time to waste and competition was fierce.

Prize winners were 1, 'The Reem Team'; 2. 'Laugh at our Name'; 3. 'Out of the Way'.
